ShoreTiles Night Defense Guide: Camps, Fronts, and Boats

The short answer
  • Connected military tiles determine how many units stand against the night attack.
  • Camps can combine into stronger armies or stay separated to cover different fronts.
  • Boats are the confirmed reinforcement tool for separated parts of the island.
On this page

Prepare defense before the attack begins: connected military tiles determine how many units fight, camps can be combined for stronger armies, separated camps can create different groups, and boats can reinforce disconnected areas. Cover the shortest routes to the lighthouse first, then decide whether a second front is affordable.

Build the defense map before night

  • Trace each exposed coast route toward the lighthouse.
  • Identify which route is outside your main army’s practical response path.
  • Use walls and military placement to buy coverage, not simply to fill empty tiles.

Choose one army or two fronts

Combining camps concentrates force; separating camps supports different groups. The choice follows island shape: a compact coast favors concentration, while distant land may need a separate group or boat connection.

Reinforce without overexpanding

  • Use boats when valuable regions cannot be covered by one connected land force.
  • Keep new coastline proportionate to the units that can reach it.
  • After each night, repair the weakest route before resuming aggressive growth.
